   Q:  What kind of guarantee comes with the Tilt-A-Topper Kit?

   A:  We are so confident that you will love the Tilt-A-Topper that we have a 100% unconditional 47 day guarantee. We pay for the shipping and handling to you and if for any reason don’t love it, just sent it back and we will refund your money. After the 47 days are expired, our guarautee covers all parts up to one year. Shipping and handling not included. Make sure you fill out the warranty card and send to back us to activate the warranty. 

  

 Q: Will it work on all truck toppers?

  A: The Tilt-A-Topper Kit fits most flat bottom toppers. Not all toppers at this time will support the Tilt-A-Topper Kit .The newer models that are now skirted which means that the topper sets on the truck and then slightly hangs over the side which skirts along the edge.  

 

Q: Does the same kit fit every truck?  A: No, at this time there are three different size kits available and we are working on the fourth. The difference  which change the kits one from an other is the brackets that clamp to the rails or the flange of the truck. Some are longer than the others.

 

  Q:  How do I know which kit to order for my truck?

Q:  Does it matter if my topper is heavy, light weight or what it is made out of?

  A: The Tilt-A-Topper kit uses lifting arms that are adjustable so that you can match the amount of lifting assistance to the weight of your truck topper, fiberglass, aluminum, or Rovel plastic.

 

  Q: How long will it take to install?

  A: A person with average mechanical ability with a helper should be able to install a Tilt-A-Topper Kit in about two to three hours. 

 

Q: Do I have to drill holes in my truck?

  A: No, Tilt-A-Topper Kits use a special clamp-on system that allows you to mount the kit without drilling ANY holes in the truck!  On the other hand, you will have to drill holes in the topper to attach the upper bracket and small hinge lock housings   (See Pictures)

 

  Q: Do I have to drill holes in my topper?

  A: Yes, you will have to drill small holes in the pedestal of the topper to attach the upper bracket and small hinge lock housings.      (See pictures) 

 

 Q: What is exposed on the outside of the truck?

  A: There two small hinge lock housings on the side of the truck topper that are approximately 1 ½ x 1 ½ x 3 1/2    inches. They are made out of injection molded super strength glass reinforced nylon. They are flat black, nice looking, and unobtrusive.   (See pictures)

 

  Q:  Can I lock my truck? 

A: We have an up graded kit which cost only $25.00 more that will lock the topper with I key locking system.  (See pictures of the locking and the non-locking)

 

  Q:  Can I lift either side?

  A:  With the GS-4000 Full Kit you can lift either side up, but not both sides at the same time. With the GS-2000 Half Kit you can lift only one side only, however you can choose at the time of installation which side that will be.

 

  Q: Can I lift both sides at the same time?

  A: No, With the GS-4000 Full Kit you can lift one up at a time, but never both sides at the same time. With the GS-2000 Half Kit you can lift only one side only. 

 

Q: How much room do the lifting arms require on the inside of the truck?

  A: The action arms lay parallel to the truck box rail and they use only 2 inches of inside room. They are 18  inches long when the topper is in the down position.

 

  Q: Will the topper stay in the up position by it self, without falling down.

  A: Yes, The lift arms hold it up. They are adjustable as to how firmly you want them to hold the topper up. 

 

 Q: Is the topper held down securely?

  A: Yes, the locking and non-locking hinge lock housings securely hold the topper down as well as if it were clamped down with out the Tilt-A-Topper Kit.  

 

Q: What do I need to get a good seal between the truck box and the topper?

  A: A special high quality seal kit is sold separately. Cost $25.00 The kit retails for $47.95 There is enough for full sized or down sized pickups in each package.  

 

  Q: How easy is it to remove the topper when I want to?

  A: Removing the entire topper takes less than 5 minutes for the GS- 4000 Full kit and less than 10 minutes for the GS-2000 half kit. 

 

Q: What about maintenance are there any parts to grease or keep oiled?

  A: No, The Tilt-A-Topper is completely maintenance free. Once it is installed you will have many years operation.
